Message: Font 'Courier New' does not support style 'Regular'
1. In one location I am using the report designer, through Visual C# Studio express to view both sample reports and reports of my own making.
Whenever I press the '...' button in the bindings | Value property field of a textbox, dataBand, Header or any other element or click the ". . ." button in properties | Generate Script, I get the error message: "Font 'Courier New' does not support style 'Regular.'" The title bar says "Properties Window."
The script editor does not open up. I can type inside the text box on the properties page. The code I put inside the textbox works, but I cannot get the editor to open.
The O/S is Win XP Pro SP 2. The hardware is an old IBM SurePOS . I have a small screen and the video adapter only allows for 600 X 800 resolution.
2. In a second camputer, an HP Pavillion laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium, when I do the same thing with the same code, it works perfectly.
Before I start blindly removing and reloading components, can you give me any clue as to what might be causing this. Remember, I am using sample code to look at things in design view when this happens. It's not just happening with the reports I am trying to create.
Otherwise, I'm really enjoying the Report Sharpshooter.

Hi Scott,
I am amazed at such problems. What version of report Sharp-Shooter do you use?
I will try to reproduce this error.
Best regards,
Alexey Sarantsev,

Hi. I'm sorry it took me so long to respond. I downloaded the Report sharpshooter 2.3 evaluation (full trial version).
Like I said, I've been testing it on an IBM SurePOS 500, model 4840 . On this one, I get the message from the subject line. This machine runs Windows XP SP 2.
I am also testing Report Sharpshooter on Windows Vista Home Edition. The script editor on it works fine.
On both computers I am running Visual C# Express as my IDE.

Hello Scott,
I reproduced this error in Report Sharp-Shooter 2.3.0.0. This bug was successfully fixed in the next version. Try to download Report Sharp-Shooter 2.3.1.0 from
http://www.perpetuumsoft.com/sf/en/dws/v23/NETModelKitSuite.zip
or Report Sharp-Shooter 2.3.1.0 from

Hello.
I uninstalled NETModelKitSuite , downloaded from the link you provided and re-installed the software.
Unfortunately, I still get the same error messages in the GenerateScript and Common Script areas.

Hello Scott,
It seems that the Courier New font is not installed on your Windows XP. Try to do the following:
1. Start -> Control panel -> Fonts;
2. Then try to find the Courier New (TrueType) font there.
2.1 If it’s there then double-click on it, close an opened the window.
2.2 If the font is not there then you need to download it from the Internet or bring it from your Windows Vista machine. Then go to Start -> Control panel -> Fonts. Press File -> Install Font.
Best regards,
Artyom Petukhov,
Perpetuum Software team.

Thank you, that was the problem.
I don't know why I didn't think of this. I had assumed that Couriner New (TrueType) was already installed. In fact it showed the file cour.ttf, but it had a file size of 0 kb. I just got the file from another Windows XP machine at work and now the script editor works great!
